Waterblommetjie (Cape Pond Weed)

I chose this quote as my first "Quote of the Week" quote because it really resonates with me. It reminds me of this photo I took years ago of this beautiful pond weed. I was trying to grow a lotus flower in a large pond pot, but instead this gorgeous weed grew in it's place. I keep this picture in one of my sketchbooks as a reminder that sometimes things happen by accident and they can be even more beautiful and interesting than what you originally intended.
