Hi! Welcome to my Get in the Jar blog!

This blog is new! I have been writing on my personal blog, www.myhopejar.com for nearly five years now. It’s a personal space where I share my journey in becoming a mother and the day-to-day life as a mom and how I manage my professional life with taking care of little ones. I have often wanted to create a professional blog to talk about all things design and share tips and knowledge I have gained in my 18 plus years in the field. I will be sharing ideas, tips and knowledge about techniques and tools of the field, as well as, tips and knowledge about applications and software I like to use; project breakdowns and rationales about my work and colleague work I’d like to share and talk about; and anything that may come to mind that I think is relevant to the field of print and web design.

From time to time, I may also write reviews about new applications I’m trying out. And because the majority of the websites I build these days are WordPress websites, I will also be focusing several future posts on discussion about my favorite WordPress Themes and what I look for when purchasing a theme for a new website.
